Tomatoes fresh from the garden have got to be one of the best tasting and smelling things ever. I loved playing around with a slightly more graphic and less realistic way of painting in gouache.

Nasturtiums
Gardening is one of my great hobbies and I grow nasturtiums every year. I love how easy they are to grow, the vibrant colors of the flowers and the circular leaves. And that they’re edible! I used linocut to create this pattern and worked in little caterpillars because not all leaves are always perfect!

Pigeons
I know a few people who are absolutely disgusted by pigeons so I thought it would be a great animal to draw, given that they’re quite unpopular. The fact that there are so many often beautiful kinds of pigeons made them all the more interesting to paint, which I did through the use of gouache.

Mushrooms
These mushrooms are one of my oldest prints, I drew them with a simple pen back at university and got a bit obsessive about drawing them everywhere. They are mushrooms viewed from below. I put them on Pinterest back then and they have been viewed over 130 thousand times since. Another example of a simple drawing seemingly doing the trick.

Sloths
My sloth design is statistically my best selling print, as there was such a sloth boom a few years ago. Each component of the design is drawn by hand with colored pencils and then put into a repeating pattern.

Prehistoric animals
I am definitely a dinosaur lover and fascinated by prehistoric creatures, it blows my mind that these incredible beasts used to walk on our planet. Even though dinosaurs are quite a popular subject matter with many designers, some of the species I chose to depict are rarely seen on mainstream dinosaur-themed products and designs. I used colored pencils to add a childlike quality to the illustrations.

Australian jungle
This print was inspired by my travels around Australia and its incredible flora and fauna. It’s a two layer reduction linocut.

Asparagus
One of my first prints- just four individual stalks of asparagus drawn with colored pencils. When I was learning how to use Photoshop on Youtube, I tried putting them into a repeating pattern and the design has stayed the same ever since.

Protozoa
I originally got the idea to make a protozoa print from a biology student. I used watercolors to play around with the various organic shapes and then layered them on top of each other in Photoshop to create a more solid pattern where the forms flow over one another. I’m fond of this print as I stepped out of my comfort zone to create something slightly different than my usual style.

Tasmanian devils
This pattern comes from a quick series of felt tip pen sketches I drew while in Tasmania. It’s a good reminder for me that the duration of time a design takes me isn’t always an indicator of its quality. That fast sketches can look better than elaborate drawings.

Australian bush
There were so many beautiful flowers in Australia that I just had to create some kind of a floral pattern for once. To make it less likable and more edgy, I added possums and praying mantises. This particular print is drawn with colorful inks.

Carrots
These “ugly” and wonky carrots were inspired by the print I drew for my collaboration with Zachraň jídlo. I always love finding some crooked carrots in real life and simply thought they would look really effective altogether. I drew the outlines with a pen and then colored them in with watercolors to create shading and rhythm.

Possums in eucalyptus
Another example of a print inspired by my travels around Australia. Both possums and beautiful eucalyptus blooms were everywhere! This design was drawn with colored pencils.
