Simona, the owner of the Prague-based bakery Síma peče sladkosti, asked me to create a custom pattern made of illustrations of her own cakes and desserts. She uses lots of fruit and flowers in her designs, which made it really enjoyable for me to play around with colored pencils and really accentuate the vibrant colors Simona uses in her creations.

Simona told me exactly which of her cakes she wanted in the design and together we discussed the placement of the small flowers and desserts in between the more dominant pieces, as well as the background color.
In the end two types of aprons were made from the design and Simona used them as merchandise to promote her business.
